Batumi is Georgia's brash Black Sea resort city, a strip of casinos, quirky skyscrapers, and palm-lined promenade that's become a magnet for nomads and crypto types. It's cheap, visa-friendly (a year visa-free for many), and warm in summer, with a beach, good food, and cheap wine. The downsides are a pebble beach, a dead and rainy off-season, half-built developments, and an infrastructure that doesn't always match the ambition. It works for budget nomads who want sun, low friction, and an easy base in the Caucasus.
