Ubud is Bali's spiritual and wellness heart, set among jungle gorges and rice terraces inland from the coast. It draws yoga teachers, healers, eco-conscious nomads, and people doing inner work, with raw-food cafes and sound baths around every corner. The flip side is heavy tourist traffic through the center, humidity, and a sometimes performative spirituality that isn't for everyone. Calmer and greener than Canggu, but you're a 90-minute drive from the beach.
